Job summary

East Surrey College in Redhill is seeking a dedicated Progress Coach to support learners on a term-time basis. The role is hourly paid at £19.07 per hour, including a £2.70 per hour annual leave uplift. You will guide students, help them overcome barriers, and work with safeguarding teams to ensure wellbeing and progression.

The position offers part-time, term-time hours, with a focus on engagement, retention and success across construction and engineering-related learning areas.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths & English (or Level 2 equivalent).
• Experience supporting disengaged young people.
• Experience supporting learners with SEMH needs.
• Strong IT skills, especially MS Office.
• Excellent communication and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, encouragement and practical support to help students stay engaged and on track for success.
• Collaborate with Directors, Programme Managers and support teams to build trusting relationships with learners.
• Implement targeted interventions, set progress goals and monitor wellbeing in partnership with safeguarding.
