Job summary

South Thames Colleges Group is seeking a Senior Learning Coach to support learners aged 16-25 with diverse needs and to assist in planning and delivering teaching sessions, learning and assessment. This role focuses on enhancing progression opportunities and life skills.

The position is term-time only (36 hours a week over 40 weeks a year). A flexible, can-do attitude with strong communication and computer literacy is essential; prior experience in a specialist school or college is advantageous,

Qualifications

• Experience of working with and supporting students aged 16-25 with a range of needs.
• Flexible to changing curriculum needs and individual student needs.
• Positive, proactive attitude and effective communication at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Support students to achieve learning goals and qualifications to enhance progression opportunities and life skills.
• Assist with planning and delivery of teaching sessions, learning and assessment for learners with learning disabilities/difficulties including autism and complex needs.
• Sourcing work experience placements for young people with additional needs.
