Job summary

Holbrook Primary School in West Sussex is seeking a Teaching/Learning Support Assistant to provide targeted support to pupils with a range of additional needs, in class and in small group or individual sessions. The role may include half-hour lunchtime support.

The post is term-time with up to 30 hours per week, pro rata salary. Visits to the school are encouraged; closing date is 30th November 2026 with interviews in early December.

Qualifications

• Have experience of working with children with a range of additional needs.
• Understand how children learn.
• Experience of supporting children in all aspects of the curriculum.
• Will be a team player, as well as using their initiative.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs, both in class and in small group or individual sessions.
• May include half an hour lunch time support for specific children.
