Job summary

Holbrook Primary School in Horsham is seeking a Teaching/Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly, inclusive team. The role involves providing targeted support to pupils with a range of additional needs, both in class and in small group or one-to-one sessions.

Lunchtime support for selected pupils may also be required. We offer a happy, caring environment with high standards of behaviour and achievement, and a commitment to staff welfare and professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children with a range of additional needs.
• Understanding how children learn.
• Experience of supporting children in all aspects of the curriculum.
• Team player with initiative.
• Excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
• Positive approach and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs in class and in small group or individual sessions.
• May include half-hour lunchtime support for specific children.
• Support pupils to access the curriculum and participate fully.
