Job summary

Rodborough Playgroup invites an exceptional Playleader to lead our creative, community-focused setting in Stroud. You will manage day-to-day operations, mentor staff, and ensure each child is central to their learning journey.

You will hold a Level 3 EY qualification (or equivalent), with safeguarding expertise and EYFS knowledge, plus strong leadership and communication skills. Term-time only work is offered with a competitive salary based on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
• GCSE Maths pass.
• At least 2 years' experience in an Early Years setting.
• Expert knowledge of the EYFS framework, Ofsted requirements, and safeguarding practices.
• Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills; experience with SEN is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire staff, fostering a creative, fun and nurturing environment.
• Deliver an outstanding play-led curriculum for ages 2.5 to 4 years.
• Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth, efficient running of the setting.
• Maintain high safeguarding standards as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
• Build strong relationships with parents, the Management Committee and local schools.
