Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking an experienced Playgroup Manager for a part-time, term-time role in LE3. The position supports day-to-day operations, staff leadership, and safeguarding within a small Early Years setting. Start is October/November 2026.

The role requires Level 3 Early Years/Childcare, SEN/SEND expertise and 2–5 years of managerial experience in a playgroup, preschool or nursery. Salary is £16.00 per hour, with term-time hours and permanent status.

Qualifications

• Essential: Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification or above.
• Essential: SEN/SEND experience and SENCO knowledge.
• Essential: 2-5 years managerial experience in playgroup, preschool or nursery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate our small team of Early Years staff.
• Collaborate with owner on day-to-day management of the playgroup.
• Oversee the setting in owner’s absence and ensure EYFS compliance.
• Maintain records of children’s progress and development.
• Support and manage children with SEND and safeguarding.
