Job summary

Driver Hire Leicester is seeking D1 Minibus Drivers to join on long-term temporary contracts, working during school term time across Nailstone, Blaby, Melton, Loughborough, Mountsorrel, Croft and Sapcote.

You will transport children and vulnerable adults with special educational needs, alongside an escort, ensuring safety and wellbeing while following policy and legislation. Split shifts typically range 7:00–10:00 and 14:00–17:00, with hours varying by route.

Qualifications

• 2+ years driving experience required.
• D1 Minibus entitlement/licence must be held.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport children and vulnerable adults to and from schools, day centres and activities.
• Work with an escort to ensure safety, security and wellbeing of passengers on every journey.
• Possibility of daytime duties such as post, meals, and related runs.
