Job summary

Schools in Cross Hands is seeking a dedicated Lunchtime Supervisor for term-time, Monday to Friday, 5 hours daily. You will oversee lunch routines, encourage healthy eating, and maintain a safe, orderly environment while supporting catering needs. The role offers a real living wage with annual leave and pension benefits.

The successful candidate will stay calm, build positive relationships with pupils and staff, and adapt to flexible catering requirements. DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• The ability to remain calm and build good relationships with adults and children based on mutual respect.
• Knowledge of basic food safety; training will be provided if needed.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work on their own and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee lunchtime routines and ensure pupil safety during lunch hour.
• Encourage pupils to eat and try new foods.
• Monitor student behaviour and maintain a positive environment.
• Support catering requirements and assist with other duties as needed.
