Job summary

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant to support children during the lunchtime period. The role requires experience with children and the ability to work well in a team. You will supervise lunchtimes both in and outside of the school, encouraging healthy eating and good manners.

The post is permanent and part-time (5 hours per week, 1 hour per day, Monday to Friday). A DBS check will be undertaken as part of safer recruitment procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience with children and ability to work well in a team.
• Enthusiastic and motivated, with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Interacting with children in a positive sense.
• Supervising children during lunchtimes in school and outside.
• Encouraging children to eat well, promoting good manners and healthy food choices.
• Assisting with clearing tables and maintaining cleanliness of the lunch area.
• Communicating with and supporting children in their play.
