Job summary

Little Thurrock Primary School is seeking an aspirational Midday Assistant to join our team during lunchtimes. You will help create a positive and secure environment in our playgrounds, dining hall and school building, supporting children’s social skills and activities.

The role requires a good standard of English and Mathematics (Grade 4-9 or equivalent), and you may assist with personal care, first aid, and supervising duties. Training, including First Aid, is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Good standard of English and Mathematics (Grade 4-9 or equivalent).
• Interact with children to encourage social skills and participate in outdoor activities.
• Support healthy eating, tables, supervise play, and assist with first aid when needed.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, safe environment in playgrounds, dining hall and school building at lunchtime.
• Assist with personal care where necessary.
• Be willing to undertake training, including First Aid.
