Job summary

Shirley Community Primary School in Cambridge is seeking a Midday Supervisor to join the team. The role is 7.5 hours per week during term time, 11:45–1:15pm, Monday to Friday. It involves supporting pupils at lunch and ensuring a safe, orderly dining hall and playground.

The post requires an Enhanced DBS check with Barred List where applicable, and an induction and safeguarding briefing. Shortlisted candidates will face online checks and references as part of safeguarding and interview processes.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check, including Barred List where applicable.
• Declaration of offences form if shortlisted.
• safeguarding policy briefings and induction will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support and encourage pupils to eat lunch.
• Assist younger pupils with food and cutlery.
• Ensure high standards of behaviour and manners in dining hall and playground.
• Work with adults to keep tables clean and ready for pupils.
• Keep dining hall neat, tidy and a safe, calm environment.
• Observe children on playgrounds.
