Job summary

St Mary Magdalene CofE Primary School is seeking a Midday Supervisor to join the dedicated lunchtime team. The role covers the dining room and adjacent playground areas, supporting pupils and maintaining a safe, orderly environment during lunch.

The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, 11.45am to 1.10pm, term time only (39 weeks per year). The post is part-time and involves safeguarding duties, with a DBS check required as part of safer recruitment procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising children during lunch and playtimes.
• Ability to manage behaviour and maintain a safe, positive environment.
• Awareness of safeguarding and welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils in the dining room and playground during lunch break.
• Assist with orderly queuing and ensure calm, respectful conduct.
• Follow health, safety and safeguarding procedures at all times.
