Job summary

Meridian Trust is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant in Peterborough on a term-time only contract (35 hours). You will support learning and group activities, adapt resources, and help create engaging displays while working closely with our SENDCo and SEND team to provide excellent educational opportunities.

The role offers varied duties, development opportunities, and a chance to gain experience that could lead into teaching. GCSE English & Maths C/4+ is required.

Qualifications

• GCSE English & Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND or behavioural needs beneficial.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly.
• Understanding of child protection and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Support learning and group teaching to progress pupils.
• Adapt resources and create engaging activities.
• Prepare teaching resources and classroom displays.
• Work with SENDCo and SEND team to support pupils.
