Job summary

Meridian Trust is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils, adapt resources and work closely with our SENDCo and team. The role focuses on learning progression, creativity and creating engaging resources and displays.

The position is term-time only with opportunities for professional development, team collaboration, and a supportive environment within Meridian Trust’s generous benefits. Training and safeguarding are integral to the role.

Qualifications

• GCSE English & Maths at grade C (4/5) or above.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND or behavioral needs is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Able to adapt, take on new ideas and think on their feet.
• Understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with learning and progress in the classroom.
• Adapt teaching resources and create engaging resources and displays.
• Collaborate with the SENDCo and SEND team to support pupils.
• Contribute to preparation of teaching resources and classroom displays.
