Job summary

Dudley Council's education team is looking for a Level 1 Teaching Assistant to work under the supervision of a classroom teacher and provide general basic help and support, mainly but not exclusively of a physical nature, to support access to learning.

Based at Brierley Hill Primary and Brockmoor Primary, the role is term-time only (39 weeks) with a salary between £19,726.26 and £20,172.41 per annum. Closing date is 27/10/2026. Right to work in the UK is required; sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Level 1 Teaching Assistant role in primary education.
• Ability to provide basic help and support under supervision.
• Capable of assisting with practical duties and basic care of pupils.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teacher with day-to-day activities.
• Assist with learning access and activities for pupils.
• Provide basic physical support as appropriate.
