Teaching Personnel is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for a SEN School in Brentwood. If you come from care or support, you can transfer your caring skills to helping children with learning difficulties in a school setting.

You'll work with teachers and therapists to support learning, routines, and social interaction, helping pupils access education and build confidence. This role offers term-time hours, a supportive team, and training to develop your education and SEN support skills.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with additional needs.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.
• No school experience required; care background is valued.

Responsibilities

• Support children with learning difficulties in the classroom.
• Help pupils access learning, routines, and social interaction.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and emotional regulation.
• Be a consistent, trusted adult in the school day.
