Job summary

Orkney Islands Council is recruiting an Early Years Practitioner for Glaitness Nursery to deliver high quality Early Learning and Childcare for children aged 2-5. The post is 24.5 hours per week during term time and offered on a permanent basis.

Salary includes Distant Islands Allowance and ranges from £31,356–£31,995 or £32,743–£35,006 pro rata. You will report to the ELC Manager and there is flexibility in working patterns where possible.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Disclosure with PVG scheme membership is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high quality inclusive Early Learning and Childcare service for children aged 2–5.
• Work with a nurturing team to support development and learning.
• Plan for and develop the environment and experiences in response to children's needs.
