Job summary

Orkney Islands Council’s Papdale Nursery in Kirkwall, Scotland, is seeking an Early Years Support Worker on a permanent part-time basis. Two roles are available: 17.5 hours per week (term time) and 14 hours per week (term time).

The posts include Distant Islands Allowance; salary in pro rata ranges and the position reports to the ELC Manager. Flexible working options may be discussed; you’ll support the delivery of an inclusive Early Learning and Childcare service for 3-5 year olds.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Disclosure with PVG scheme membership is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the nursery team to deliver a high quality inclusive Early Learning and Childcare service.
• Contribute to meeting the development needs of children aged 3-5.
• Be flexible with working patterns during school term time.
