Job summary

Orkney Islands Council invites applications for an Early Years Support Worker at Glaitness Nursery, Kirkwall. This permanent, term-time role is 21 hours per week, reporting to the ELC Manager to provide a high-quality inclusive ELC service for 3-5 year olds.

Applicants should have SVQ 2/3 qualifications and Level 2 PVG disclosure. Training opportunities will be provided, and flexible working arrangements will be considered where possible.

Qualifications

• Must have SVQ 2/3 qualifications.
• Level 2 Disclosure with PVG scheme membership.

Responsibilities

• Support the nursery team to deliver a high quality inclusive Early Learning and Childcare service.
• Support children aged 3-5.
• Work in a regular pattern Monday-Wednesday and consider flexible working where possible.
