Job summary

The Lantern Primary School invites applications for an enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join Goslings pre-school provision. You will help deliver high-quality play activities and group learning sessions for 3- and 4-year-olds.

Working term-time, 38 weeks per year, with a salary of £19,463–£20,086 (Grade 5). The role reports to the Pre-School Leader and Headteacher within Meridian Trust provision.

Qualifications

• English and Mathematics GCSE, grade C/4 or above.
• Holds a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification (or is near to completion)
• Understands how children learn and develop
• Can form positive and caring relationships with children which motivates them to learn, grow and be confident
• The ability to work collaboratively with parents, carers, colleagues and outside agencies

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivery of play activities and group learning times.
• Observe children and record progress/learning in all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Maintain a safe and enjoyable learning environment under the direction of the Pre-School Leader.
• Support the Early Years Provision as part of the Lantern Primary School team.
