Job summary

Willing Care Recruitment Limited is hiring an Early Years Practitioner in Westminster. This term-time role offers a salary up to £32,000 per year, with Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:00pm, in an Outstanding Ofsted-rated family-run nursery.

You’ll plan engaging experiences, support literacy and numeracy, foster creativity and outdoor learning, and build strong relationships with children and families while upholding safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years qualification or above required.
• Experience in a nursery or Early Years setting.
• Strong EYFS knowledge and understanding of child development.
• Ability to create engaging experiences across learning areas.
• Understanding of supporting school readiness while emphasising play.
• Enthusiasm for outdoor learning and physical development.
• Creative, warm and nurturing approach.
• Excellent communication with children, families and colleagues.
• Good safeguarding and child protection knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Plan experiences around children's interests and development stages.
• Support early literacy and numeracy through age-appropriate activities.
• Encourage creativity, imagination and problem-solving.
• Help children develop confidence, independence and a positive attitude to learning.
• Support participation in specialist-led activities and outdoor programs.
• Make regular use of the garden and outdoor equipment.
• Promote physical development through movement and active play.
• Observe progress and plan meaningful next steps.
• Build positive relationships with children and their families.
• Work with colleagues to maintain the nursery's Outstanding standards.
