Job summary

St John’s CE Academy in Wantage, part of the Cambrian Learning Trust, seeks a Level 3 Qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our warm, nurturing learning environment and contribute to our established practice. You will support the Early Years team across our all-through setting (2–16 years) with a focus on curiosity, creativity and discovery.

The role is term-time only (38 weeks plus 5 days), Monday to Friday 8.00–16.00. Shortlisted candidates may be subject to online searches.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young children in an early years setting.
• Strong communication with families and colleagues.
• Ability to contribute to a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment.
• Awareness of safeguarding responsibilities and DBS expectations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a warm and nurturing learning environment.
• Support children's progress in line with the curriculum and its drivers (curiosity, creativity, discovery).
• Engage with families and the local community to build strong relationships.
• Uphold safeguarding procedures and participate in DBS checks as required.
