Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS FT is recruiting a Band 3 Complex Care Assistant to support pupils with enteral feeding needs in Birmingham Special Schools, working 18 hours per week during term time. Full competency-based training will be provided, and a DBS check is required.

This role forms part of the city-wide Special School Nursing Service, delivering high-quality care to children and young people with complex health needs within school settings.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or above in Care with experience / knowledge of working with children with complex needs.
• Evidence of continued learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils' enteral feeding needs within Birmingham Special Schools.
• Contribute to safe and effective growth measurement of children/young people in line with Healthy Child Programme.
• Work as part of a multi-agency team within a special school reporting to the Team Leader.
• Undertake administrative duties to enable the service to function effectively.
