Job summary

Advantage Healthcare, part of CCH, is seeking a compassionate support worker to care for a young child with complex medical needs at home in Birmingham. The role includes helping with transfers, airway management, PEG feeding, and daily activities.

You will work Wednesdays to Fridays during the day, with paid annual leave and a pay rate of £12.71 per hour. The ideal candidate is reliable, patient, and can communicate clearly with family and professionals.

Qualifications

• Experience in suctioning and PEG feeding is essential.
• Experience supporting individuals with complex care needs.
• Reliable, punctual and patient with excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a non-ambulant child at home, including transfers and repositioning.
• Assist with airway management, suctioning, chest physiotherapy and managing secretions.
• Administer feeds and medications via gastrostomy and supervise PEG feeding.
• Support school attendance and participation in daily activities.
• Engage in play and social interactions, and support family needs.
