Job summary

Caterlink LTD in Reading is seeking a Chef Manager at Katesgrove Primary School to lead food preparation, cooking and presentation to Caterlink and client standards. This role is term-time only, Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week, with no weekends, and requires DBS clearance.

You will manage day-to-day operations, supervise teams, monitor budgets and KPIs, liaise with the client, and ensure Health and Safety and Food Safety compliance while delivering nutritionally balanced meals.

Qualifications

• Term-time only role, no weekends
• Experience in food service management and school catering preferred
• DBS disclosure will be obtained for this role

Responsibilities

• To prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards
• Ensure location meets Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental regulations
• Maintain Caterlink's reputation for excellent food and service with clients and customers
• Manage day-to-day running of the location and supervise teams, budgets and inventories
• Be the main point of contact for the client in your school and implement improvements
• Communicate with line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets
• Support and train teams to achieve high performance
