Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef Manager for Hurst Hill Primary, Dudley, to provide nutritionally balanced and tasty meals during term time. The role is 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 39 weeks per year, with no weekends and a pay of £14.00 per hour.

You will prepare, cook and present meals to Caterlink standards, ensure Health and Safety and Food Safety compliance, manage inventory and budgets, and support and train your kitchen team in a collaborative school environment.

Qualifications

• Lvl 2 cookery qualification; training provided.
• Experience in supervising teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to required standards.
• Ensure Health and Safety and Food Safety compliance.
• Maintain reputation for quality and service.
• Oversee day-to-day running of the location and supervise staff.
• Manage inventories, budgets and action plans.
• Act as main client contact in the school and implement improvements.
• Monitor KPIs and financial targets with line manager.
• Provide training and supervise performance.
