Job summary

Aspens Services is seeking an ambitious Chef Manager to take full operational and financial responsibility for a school catering facility in Richmond. This role goes beyond the kitchen, requiring a visionary leader to consistently deliver high-quality food and service and elevate the dining experience for students and staff.

You will manage GP, control costs, lead a kitchen team, develop menus, drive monthly promotions, and ensure health and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of gross profit management and ability to hit sales targets.
• Proven line-management experience with coaching and inspiring a high-performing team.
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Experience in menu development and culinary innovation.
• ON】【D/HND is a bonus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Financial control: Manage and improve controllable costs including stock, food and labour.
• Team leadership: Lead, coach, train and inspire kitchen staff to deliver excellence.
• Culinary innovation: Oversee menu development and drive sales through promotions and events.
• Quality assurance: Ensure standards, systems and legislation are met through audits and proactive management.
