Job summary

Aspens Services is seeking an ambitious Chef Manager to take full operational and financial responsibility for a school catering facility. This role requires a visionary leader to deliver high-quality food and service, elevating the dining experience and driving profitability.

You will manage GP, lead a kitchen team, develop menus, and ensure health and safety compliance. The role offers a structured, school-term schedule with a focus on quality and growth.

Qualifications

• Strong GP management and ability to hit sales targets.
• Excellent craft with fresh ingredients.
• Proven line management experience.
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety practices.
• ON D/HND qualification is a bonus, but experience counts.

Responsibilities

• Financial Control: Manage and improve controllable costs including stock, food and labour.
• Team Leadership: Lead, coach, train and inspire your kitchen team to deliver excellence.
• Culinary Innovation: Oversee menu development and drive sales through promotions and events.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure standards, systems and legislation are met through audits and proactive management.
