Job summary

WCG is hiring a Careers and Progression Adviser to support students with career planning and progression across its Royal Leamington Spa campus. The role is permanent and can be either part-time (term time) or full-time, with hours aligned to 30 per week in some scenarios and 37 hours in full-time arrangements.

You will deliver impartial career guidance, run one-to-one interviews, plan events, and help students with UCAS and progression pathways while liaising with staff to boost attainment and

• Careers advice and guidance qualifications or willingness to work towards them.
• Strong IT and administrative skills for daily tasks.
• Ability to work across multiple campuses and manage bookings and events.

Responsibilities

• Provide careers advice and guidance to FE and HE students and prospective students.
• Support Gatsby Benchmarks implementation and careers events.
• Conduct impartial interviews, drop-in sessions, e-guidance and telephone guidance.
• Coordinate career activities, inductions, fairs and employer links.
• Support UCAS process and higher education applications.
• Deliver careers education workshops across levels 1–6.
• Assist with school visits and external events as required.
• Liaise with staff to support student achievement and progression.
