Job summary

Shoreham Village School is seeking a term-time play worker to supervise children in the after-school club, caring for a designated group and ensuring safe transitions between club and school. Duties include planning age-appropriate play, promoting wellbeing, and maintaining safeguarding and confidentiality, with enhanced DBS and paediatric first aid qualifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Paediatric first aid qualification or willingness to obtain.
• Anaphylaxis and allergy training or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for children in extended provision sessions.
• Look after a designated group of children as assigned by the manager.
• Promote children's wellbeing, safety and inclusion at all times.
• Transfer children safely between the provision and school where required.
• Provide encouragement, friendship and supervision while working closely with children.
