Job summary

South Norwood Primary is inviting applications for an After School Club Playworker. This term-time role runs 15:00–18:00, 39 weeks a year, Monday to Friday, to provide encouragement, friendship and supervision for pupils after the school day.

You will support a variety of play activities, work under the guidance of the club leaders and head teacher, assist with snacks, and supervise a designated group of children, ensuring a safe and caring environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school setting.
• Ability to engage with pupils and provide supportive supervision.

Responsibilities

• To assist the manager in offering a wide range of play activities and ensuring a relaxed, informed and caring environment.
• To work under the guidance of the After-School Club Leader, Extended School Leader and Head Teacher to provide child care for pupils attending the After-School Club.
• Assist in the preparation of snacks, cleaning away and washing up when required.
• To be responsible to a group of children as designated by the manager.
