Job summary

A specialist engineering and operations firm is seeking a Tendering Engineer responsible for managing the end-to-end tendering process. This role involves leading bid preparation and submissions, client relationship management, and supporting business growth in the energy and utilities sectors. The ideal candidate will have experience in tendering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage and mentor a small team. A degree in Engineering or Business is desirable. Full-time position based in Gloucester.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in tendering, proposals or bid management within the energy or utilities sector.
• Demonstrable record of leading successful bids and framework submissions.
• Experience in supplier engagement and commercial negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and submission of bids, proposals, and tender responses.
• Manage and mentor the Bid Administrator.
• Engage proactively with the supply chain for competitive quotations.
• Support Business Development activities through client engagement.
• Report on bid progress and outcomes to senior management.
