Job summary

Mane Contract Services is seeking an experienced Tendering Engineer to join our EPC contractor partner specialising in high-voltage transmission and overhead line projects. You will work with sales and BD teams to prepare competitive technical and commercial tenders for 132kV-400kV assets.

The role focuses on interpreting client specs, developing cost estimates and coordinating with engineering, procurement and subcontractors to win major bids while ensuring compliance and timely submissions.

Qualifications

• Experience in tendering, estimating, bid engineering or proposals in HV power transmission, utilities or EPC sectors.
• Strong understanding of overhead line infrastructure (132kV/275kV/400kV).
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and client requirements.
• Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work closely with the sales and business development teams, preparing competitive technical and commercial tenders for major 132kV-400kV overhead line, substation and transmission infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare technical and commercial tenders for HV/EHV overhead line and transmission projects.
• Support sales and business development teams in identifying and securing new project opportunities.
• Review client specifications, drawings, tender documentation and project requirements.
• Develop cost estimates, pricing proposals and detailed tender submissions.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, commercial teams and subcontractors to develop competitive bids.
• Engage with clients, suppliers and EPC partners throughout the tendering process.
• Support commercial negotiations, bid clarifications and contract awards.
• Ensure tenders are technically compliant, commercially competitive and submitted on time.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in tendering, estimating, bid engineering or proposals within the HV power transmission, utilities or EPC sectors.
• Strong understanding of overhead line infrastructure, ideally 132kV, 275kV or 400kV.
• Knowledge of OHL construction methods, materials, installation activities and associated civil works.
• Experience preparing cost estimates, commercial proposals and technical tender submissions.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and client requirements.
• Strong commercial awareness, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting sales teams and contributing to successful project bids.
