Job summary

RJ Power Networks is seeking a Bid Coordinator to own the bid lifecycle for HV/LV projects. You will consolidate inputs from engineering, estimating, SHEQ and commercial teams to produce technically robust, compliant tenders that are commercially competitive and win work.

The role requires strong writing, planning and organisation skills, with experience in ICP or utility infrastructure bids and familiarity with NEC/JCT contracts.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating for ICP or utility infrastructure projects.
• Experience coordinating and producing technical/commercial bids.
• Understanding HV/LV networks or electrical engineering.
• Ability to interpret specifications, drawings and tender documents.
• Strong writing skills for method statements and technical narratives.
• Familiarity with NEC/JCT forms of contract.
• Familiarity with construction, utilities or infrastructure sectors.
• Take ownership of the bid lifecycle from receipt of enquiry through to submission.
• Lead bid programme planning, coordinating inputs to ensure deadlines are met.
• Assess client specifications, standards, and pre-construction information to ensure submissions are technically compliant.
• Identify commercial and contractual risks during the bid stage and upscale appropriately.
• Collate project delivery evidence, case studies and technical data to strengthen proposals.
• Develop and maintain a structured library of technical responses, CVs and project references.
• Support client clarifications, presentations and interview following submission.
• Act as a central point of contact for bid queries, driving accountability across the bid team.
• After 2 years continuous service, 1 extra day’s leave per year, up to a maximum of 5.

EXPERIENCE

• Interpret tender documentation, identify deliverables and communicate requirements to internal stakeholders
