Job summary

Mitie Power & Grid seeks a Senior Electrical HV Tendering Engineer to develop proposals for major electrical works up to £15m+. You will collaborate with Business Development, Design Engineers and Project Managers to win strategic bids in the UK market.

The role focuses on electrical HV tendering for 11/33/132kV projects, including BESS, solar parks and data centres. You’ll need a strong track record in costing, risk assessment and cross-functional delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Capable of working under pressure to meet challenging deadlines.
• Experience supporting bid teams in a demanding customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess bid opportunities and conduct bid/no-bid reviews.
• Evaluate risks and potential problems in tenders.
• Check accuracy and completeness of tender documents.
• Estimate costs based on client specification and drawings.
• Liaise with sub-contractors to obtain best quotations.
• Review tender documentation and provide cost estimates.
• Prepare formal handover documentation and participate in handover meetings.
• Ensure compliance with HSQE policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with Business Development and Project Managers.
• Lead tendering activities up to £15m.
