Job summary

Bimplus is seeking Tenancy Visiting Officers for a temporary project across London housing estates to conduct tenancy visits, property inspections and tenancy surveys. You will work on-site with tenants, record casework accurately, provide information on services, and strive to resolve issues at the first point of contact while complying with policies and equality standards.

Health and safety guidelines will be followed during home visits.

Qualifications

• Direct tenant interaction experience, ideally in housing context.
• Strong customer-facing skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of housing laws and tenancy agreements (training provided).
• Ability to conduct face-to-face visits fully onsite with tenants.

Responsibilities

• Implement tenancy checks, visits, and investigations to minimise unauthorised occupation and tenancy fraud.
• Accurately record all case work and communications, ensuring data integrity.
• Deliver customer-focused service and resolve issues at first point of contact.
• Follow procedures for tenancy visits, ensuring compliance with policies and equalities standards.
• Provide management information and recommendations to the Project Manager on tenancy conditions and welfare concerns.
• Undertake visits, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, assessing risks and health and safety guidelines.

Temporary contract – 2 to 3 months cover

• Provide timely management information and recommendations to the Project Manager on tenancy conditions, welfare concerns, and compliance issues.
• Undertake visits, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, assessing risks and adhering to health and safety guidelines for home.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in a role involving direct tenant interaction, ideally within a local authority or housing context.
• Strong customer facing experience & customer service skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of housing laws and tenancy agreements (training will be provided)
