Job summary

Swindon Borough Council is seeking a proactive Tenancy Housing Officer to manage tenancy services across a designated patch, building positive relationships with residents and partner agencies. You will handle visits, audits and disputes to sustain tenancies and improve local neighbourhoods.

The role requires strong communication, organisation and IT skills, with a proactive ethos to support residents and deliver high-quality housing services in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering tenancy/housing management services.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise demands.
• Experience investigating tenancy issues and taking appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Manage tenancy management duties including visits, audits and inspections.
• Handle succession, assignment, changes and terminations of tenancies.
• Identify support needs and resolve issues early; support enforcement where needed.
• Maintain accurate records and use data to inform decisions.
