Job summary

Great Places Housing Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Tenancy Coach to provide one-to-one coaching for at-risk tenants, helping them build on their strengths to sustain tenancy and live independently. The role includes welfare benefits guidance, wellbeing planning, and signposting to specialist support.

You will conduct assessments, develop personalised action plans, and collaborate with colleagues to resolve issues while safeguarding customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in a support role or similar
• Experience using a strengths-based approach to assist customers
• In-depth understanding of welfare benefits and social inclusion
• Experience coaching customers to identify actions and solutions
• Experience and understanding of safeguarding
• Experience signposting customers to timely and appropriate services
• Experience training and peer-to-peer knowledge sharing
• Ability to work under pressure with accuracy and attention to detail
• Commitment to community challenges and lived experience in social housing
• Passion to advocate for people and communities

Responsibilities

• Use a strengths-based approach to help customers sustain tenancy and resolve complex benefit issues
• Conduct initial assessments to understand customer needs and root causes
• Develop wellbeing plans with outcomes and actions
• Provide welfare benefits guidance and signposting to support
• Meet regularly and monitor outcomes, coaching progress
• Assist customers to create a Risk Management plan
• Ensure safeguarding concerns are addressed promptly
• Develop networks with organisations to signpost customers to services
• Train colleagues on resolving low-level issues and when to signpost elsewhere
