Job summary

Balfour Beatty Highways is recruiting a Temporary Works Manager to join the Manchester/Longdendale area project on the A57 Mottram Moor Link Road. You will lead on-site temporary works activities, ensuring compliance with BS5975 and coordinating with design and delivery teams.

You'll develop the TW team, maintain the duty holder register, oversee designer coordination, and drive improvements in temporary works design and execution across the scheme, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree level education with formal civil/geotechnical training.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of temporary works on the project.
• Ensure temporary works are controlled per BS5975.
• Contribute to growing the temporary works team.
• Maintain the TW Duty holder register and manage training/experience.
• Support TW designers and project team in design and management of Temporary Works.
• Drive innovations in design and practical application of temporary works.
• Liaise with clients to manage approvals and certifications.
• Compile and review a Temporary Works Schedule with TW Designer and Project Lead.
• Ensure construction method statements cover permanent and temporary works requirements.
• Ensure adequate Temporary Works design and timely delivery.
