Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking a Temporary Works Design Engineer to join our team. We welcome civil, structural and geotechnical engineers across the UK, in locations such as Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich and Plymouth.

Agile working allows up to 1-2 days from home, with 40 hours per week. You will join a 100-strong team delivering complex construction and infrastructure projects, supported by Kier's £11bn+ project pipeline.

Qualifications

• Practical designer with strong civil/structural/geotechnical grounding and knowledge of design standards.
• Experience with temporary works design and/or construction-related practice.
• Ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and maintain safety and buildability.

Responsibilities

• Produce, check and review design outputs such as calculations, drawings and reports.
• Act as project lead for smaller projects, managing scope, programme and stakeholders.
• Contribute to process improvements and maintain QA and CDM compliance.
