Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking a Temporary Works Design Engineer to join our civil, structural and geotechnical teams across the UK. The role involves producing and reviewing temporary works design outputs, leading smaller projects, and supporting tendering and preconstruction activities.

We value practical engineers progressing towards CEng or IEng status and strong collaboration and safety focus. We offer a 40-hour week, flexible working up to 1-2 days from home, and a starting salary of £40k per

Qualifications

• Experience in temporary works design and/or management.
• Working towards CEng or IEng status or equivalent experience.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Producing, checking and reviewing design outputs such as calculations, sketches, drawings, 3D models, reports and risk assessments.
• Acting as Project Lead for simpler projects, managing technical scope, programme, budget and relationships with preconstruction and construction teams.
• Developing processes and systems to improve efficiency and buildability.
• Providing technical support to overcome construction-stage and post-construction issues and defects.
