Job summary

Christ The King Catholic Academy in Lancashire is seeking a temporary SSA Level 2 Support Assistant for two half terms, with possible extension. The role focuses on supporting pupils with additional needs in EYFS and across the school through targeted interventions.

The successful candidate will work under the SENDCO, be a reflective practitioner, and contribute to high-quality education for children and families. The post is fixed-term, term-time only, 25 hours per week.

Qualifications

• DBS clearance required.
• Medical clearance.
• Verification of qualifications and National Insurance number.
• Two references including suitability to work with children.
• Interviews will include safeguarding procedures.
• For teaching roles, additional checks may apply.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with additional needs in the EYFS and across the school.
• Assist with interventions and general classroom support.
• Work under the SENDCO guidance to promote pupil development.
