Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Temporary Level 2 Teaching Assistant (SSA) to support pupils across the classroom and wider provision in Wirral. The role involves assisting with classroom delivery, adapting learning activities, and promoting positive behaviour to foster wellbeing and an inclusive learning environment.

Successful candidates will have Level 2 Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent) and prior experience in a primary setting.

• Experience supporting children within a primary school setting (SEND experience desirable).
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Providing classroom and targeted pupil support (including supporting pupils who face barriers to learning).
• Working alongside the class teacher to deliver learning activities and adapt resources.
• Helping to promote positive behaviour and support pupils’ social and emotional wellbeing.

Job Title: Temporary Level 2 Teaching Assistant (SSA)

Location: Wirral, Merseyside

Hours: Full-time temporary contract (around 40 hours per week)

We7re looking for a committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant (SSA) to support pupils across the classroom and wider provision.

Youll support teaching and learning by:

• Providing classroom and targeted pupil support (including supporting pupils who face barriers to learning)
• Working alongside the class teacher to deliver learning activities and adapt resources
• Helping to promote positive behaviour and support pupils’ social and emotional wellbeing
• Contributing to an inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environment

What we7re looking for

• Level 2 Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent)
• Experience supporting children within a primary school setting (additional needs/SEND experience is desirable)
• A flexible, energetic, and reliable approach with strong communication skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
