Job summary

Based at Kings Court Council Offices, Kings Lynn with hybrid working, this planning role is a temporary contract until 22 September 2028. You will handle housing, regeneration, conservation, coastal and rural development, and NSIPs where relevant, in a collaborative team.

We seek an experienced RTPI planner with three years post-qualification experience, strong judgement and excellent communication. Competitive pay, generous leave, and pension benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• RTPI member with at least three years' post-qualification development management experience.
• Confident and pragmatic approach with strong communication skills.
• Sound judgement and ability to manage a varied caseload.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex applications and negotiations within a busy planning team.
• Prepare and present professional reports and contribute to appeals and inquiries.
• Provide clear advice to applicants, agents, elected Members, colleagues and communities.
• Share expertise across the team and help deliver a responsive planning service.
