Job summary

Carrington West are assisting their local authority client in the North West of England to recruit a Senior Development Management Planning Officer on an initial 3 month contract. The role covers householder and minor applications, LDCs, and supporting the Enforcement team, with eligibility for RTPI and a post-graduate degree preferred. A hybrid arrangement is offered, and a remote option may be available.

Pay rate is £40-45 per hour, negotiable based on experience. Job Ref - 69380.

Qualifications

• Experienced in handling complex casework in town planning.
• Experience with householder and minor planning applications.
• Ability to prepare and write appeal statements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with householder and minor planning applications and related lawful development certificates.
• Support the Planning Enforcement team.
• Draft appeal statements and provide guidance on a broad range of cases.
