Job summary

Borough Council Of Kings Lynn & West Norfolk is seeking a Senior Planner to join a busy planning team in King’s Lynn, with hybrid working. You will manage a varied caseload across housing, regeneration, conservation and NSIPs where relevant, and prepare professional reports.

You will be RTPI-qualified with at least three years' post-qualification development management experience and strong communication skills, providing clear advice to applicants, agents, Members and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be RTPI qualified and a member in good standing.
• A minimum of three years post-qualification development management experience is required.
• Excellent communication and advisory skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex applications and negotiations across housing, regeneration, conservation, coastal and rural development.
• Prepare and present professional reports and contribute to appeals and inquiries.
• Provide clear advice to applicants, agents, elected Members, colleagues and local communities.
