Job summary

Boundary Outlet in Walsall is seeking a Temporary Sales Assistant to join our store team. You will welcome customers, answer product questions, assist on tills, and help with coffee shop support to create a welcoming shopping experience.

Flexibility to work weekends and evenings is required. The role offers 8 hours per week across 2 days, with opportunities to develop product knowledge and contribute to store targets in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Ability to stay detail oriented in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings and bank holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers to the store and providing excellent customer service.
• Assisting with product enquiries and offering recommendations.
• Maintaining product displays and ensuring the shop floor is tidy and well-stocked.
• Operating tills, processing payments accurately and handling customer purchases with care.
• Replenishing stock and ensuring products are correctly priced and labelled.
• Supporting the coffee shop team with taking orders, serving food and drinks, and clearing tables.
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the coffee shop, following food safety procedures.
• Responding professionally to customer queries and referring any issues to a supervisor when needed.
• Supporting colleagues across departments and adapting to the needs of the store.
• Helping the team achieve sales targets and deliver an enjoyable shopping experience.
• Staying informed about promotions, offers and new arrivals to share with customers.
• Following health and safety procedures to maintain a safe environment for customers and colleagues.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Team Member to join Boundary Outlet. As a welcoming face for our customers, you will help create an enjoyable and memorable shopping experience. This varied role will involve working across different areas of the store, from assisting customers on the sales floor and serving on the tills to supporting our coffee shop team
