A leading GP practice in London is looking for a part-time temporary Receptionist to work in a dynamic environment close to Hyde Park. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, be organized, and demonstrate empathy while interacting with patients. Full training is provided, making this a great opportunity for motivated individuals.
This is a unique chance to join a successful and forward thinking GP Practice of 7000 patients close to Hyde park with several stations within close proximity. We are looking for a part time temporary Receptionist to work 15 hours a week over Tuesdays & Thursdays. The successful candidate will be patient focused, a good team player and flexible in their approach and preferably have experience but full training will be given.Additional hours may be needed when other receptionists are on leave. You will be working with a varied patient demographic and a supportive team.
The candidate must be enthusiastic with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. You will have a range of patient facing and administrative tasks, so excellent organisational skills, and time management are critical. A caring, empathetic character is essential.

Politely greeting patients and visitors to the surgery.Answering telephone calls and dealing with face to face enquiries.Scheduling appointments for patients.Checking patients in.Dealing with all requests in an efficient and courteous manner.Screening enquiries for the doctors and medical staff.Registering new patients at the surgery.Explaining the practice procedures to new patients.Accurately collecting information and personal details about patients.Updating the surgeries computer system with appointments and personal details.Receiving urine and blood samples and sending them off to hospital laboratories.Chasing up appointments for patients with hospitals or with other healthcare professionals.Contacting patients to pass on test results /messages to patients as instructed by cliniciansArranging prescriptions for patients.Maintaining a clean reception and waiting area to show a professional image.Opening post, scanning and forwarding it onto the relevant parties.Writing letters and correspondence on behalf of the surgery and medical staff.Opening and locking up the surgery.
