Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Nursery Assistant for nurseries across Bury. The role involves supporting children aged 6 months to 4 years with engaging play-based activities that foster learning and development.

You will be a positive role model, help manage small groups and promote safety and well-being. SEND experience is desirable, with full support and guidance provided for the right attitude and passion.

Qualifications

• Experience with young children in early years settings preferred.
• Familiarity with learning through play and exploration.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child development basics.

Responsibilities

• Support children aged 6 months to 4 years in a safe, welcoming environment.
• Create engaging, play-based activities to develop communication, social, cognitive and motor skills.
• Confidently manage small groups and promote positive behaviour.
• Provide consistent role modelling and build strong relationships with children and families.
