Job summary

Workchain is recruiting an HGV Class 1 Driver for a temporary daytime trunking role based in Shepton Mallet. You will complete trunking deliveries, carry out pre- and post-journey vehicle checks, and follow routes and loading instructions to ensure on-time deliveries.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 1 licence, current CPC and tachograph card, with reliable, punctual performance and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence and CPC qualification.
• Digital tachograph card and trunking experience.
• Proven HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Complete trunking deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Carry out vehicle checks before and after journeys.
• Follow route, delivery and loading instructions.
• Ensure all paperwork and records are completed accurately.
• Maintain high standards of road safety and compliance.
• Communicate professionally with transport and operational teams.
